For any of the listed methods, set pan in a location where you can comfortably sit next to it. Cover the back of your head with a towel and tuck the ends of the towel around the pan so that steam is captured inside a "mini-sauna." Hold your head about one foot away from the water. Make sure that the steam is not so hot that it feels uncomfortable, and keep your eyes closed so that the essential oils do not sting them. Stay in the steam for a few minutes, then come out to cool your face. Do this for a few rounds, as long as it's comfortable.
