The Stand (at Otter Bay) ****
For about 11 years now, ferry passengers and residents of North Pender Island have enjoyed some of the best West Coast-style fast foods in BC -- from a little food stand at the Otter Bay ferry terminal! Appropriately named "The Stand," this tiny food emporium is actually a Winnebago converted into a food kitchen, and it’s amazing what this place can create. Everything here is cooked up fresh, and the menu (new in the Summer of 2002) offers a variety of burgers, breakfast items, sandwiches and the like, plus, unexpectedly, venison and ostrich.
