Vancouver, BC (March 11, 2010) -- The Rare Disease Foundation is raising money to support research into understanding or developing therapy for patients with rare diseases and it needs your support to continue this work.
Rare Finds - A Unique Event Benefiting Extraordinary Children 
Rare diseases affect our most vulnerable population -- our children. About one third of children with a rare disease won't live to celebrate their 10th birthday; the Rare Disease Foundation wants to change this. We bring together parents, doctors, researchers and volunteers who are united in their desire to transform care for children with rare diseases. No other health care or research agency in Canada currently focuses on improving the lives of children with rare and undiagnosed conditions. Rare Finds, our signature fundraising event, is a feast for the senses. The evening includes interactive theatre celebrating the rare gifts we all have, one of a kind musical entertainment, live and silent auctions and amazing food. Tickets are $125. All proceeds will benefit the Rare Disease Foundation, allowing us to foster vital rare disease research at BC Children's Hospital, expand our parent support groups and raise awareness.
