Affectionately referred to as the Dutch version of Target, HEMA has it all. You can buy bulk black licorice (a Dutch specialty), bathing suits, funky watches, paint, and more. Once you've exhausted yourself grabbing all these chic-yet-inexpensive items, you can take a break and enjoy one of the store's famous sausages, which they sell at a luncheon counter.

Magna Plaza

You can't miss this enormous center, once home to the main post office, now reincarnated as a shopping mall. The building has mostly high-end specialty shops, including Storm and BamBam (designer wares for children); She Uemara (cosmetics); and Ordning and Reda (stationery and paper goods). The Virgin Megastore occupies the entire basement level.
