Anne's all-natural no-more-dry-hand cream

by Anne Garber

four stars

(fills 3 or 4 jars)

Ingredients:

  • 21 gms Olive oil
  • 21 gms Apricot Oil
  • 21 gms Almond oil
  • 10 gms glycerine
  • 17 gms e-wax
  • 13 gms stearic acid
  • 320 gms water (rainwater, filtered or distilled water is best for all recipes, including soap)
  • 1 gm citric acid
  • 2 mls of lavender essential oil
  • 10 gms Shea butter (optional)

    Directions:

First, add all the oils, e-wax, glycerine and stearic acid. Melt on very low heat or in the microwave till clear. Next, warm the water and citric acid. Don't make it too hot, warm is fine. Slowly pour water mix into your oils, which have cooled but not set. Stir ingredients together then mix with your stick blender till creamy. Then add approx 2 mls of lavender essential oil.

Pour into sterile jars or containers. I don't use preservative and haven't had trouble with it going bad, but I do use it quickly. Can be kept in fridge if you like.

    Difficulty level: Easy.
